LEVI NUPPONEN
MANAGING DIRECTOR / CONSULTANT
A qualified horticultural scientist with over 15 years’ experience in the protected cropping sector and executive training at INSEAD, Levi has held technical, operational and marketing roles in Oceania, Europe and NE Asia.
His career began in The Netherlands developing skills in climate controlled glasshouse management which he would apply as Grower Manager with Costa Group on their first large scale glasshouses in Austalia. He was then engaged by the global agribusiness Syngenta as Technical Crop Specialist Oceania and North-East Asia. Moving into Business Development he received global recognition within Syngenta for the innovative go to market strategy initiating the snacking tomato category in Australia.
In 2012 Levi commenced with the start-up Green Camel. He is co-inventor of their patent pending technology platform which enables the coupling of recirculating aquaculture with intensive organic horticulture and was responsible for commissioning and operational management of the production sites.
In recognition of their achievements within the sustainable food sector, Levi with his co-inventor Andy Cameron won The University of Sydney 2016 Alumni Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
In 2017 Levi founded Agrology Pty Limited.

ANDREW HARFORD
CONSULTANT
A horticultural practitioner with over 25 years’ experience in the protected cropping and nursery sectors. Andrew has been involved in start-ups, consultancy, operational and Business Development roles in Australia and New Zealand.
His career began in New Zealand founding a protected cropping business following the University completion where he gained skills in horticultural business management. This would then lead to a Consultancy position, providing advisory services to a large, protected cropping start-up. He then founded a fresh-cut salad business in the South Island growing and processing salads providing wholesale and retail markets throughout New Zealand.
In 2008, the salad company merged with a vegetable processor and was then soon acquired by a large food production company. Following some travel and relocation to Australia, Andrew joined Powerplants Australia primarily to develop their nursery automation and logistics business unit. Over the three years in the role, he was primarily concerned with providing commercial horticulture and nursery enterprises with 'best fit', world-leading horticultural machinery and solutions.
In 2016, he joined Cravo, the Canadian manufacturer of retractable roof greenhouses in a Business Development Manager role providing protected cropping advice, design and product support to Customers in New Zealand and Australia with a focus on retractable roof production systems.

VERA BERBERICH
FINANCE AND LEGAL
An experienced financial consultant with a law degree, Vera is responsible for keeping Agrology's finances running smoothly and providing legal guidance. She applies her skills to financial analysis and due diligence on feasibility studies and business optimisation advice.
Vera worked as a Senior Consultant for EY (Ernst and Young) from 2012 through to 2018 in both Germany and Australia where she specialised in Tax Law, particularly mergers and acquisitions.

This German law degree (‘Diplom Jurist’) is comparable with a Master of Laws. It consists of the state examination in the compulsory subjects’ private, public and criminal law and the university examination in elective subject area commercial law, competition law and intellectual property rights. -
Taxation Studies (Dual System) / University of Applied Science Worms (Germany).
Including income tax, corporate tax, value-added tax, international tax, reorganisation tax, general economics, accounting, and controlling.
